Metroid 2 was on the Game Boy, but it wasn't so detailed. I'll admit I'm gaslighting folks with my pixel art saying games on Game Boy looked better that it really did. The closest equivalent to this monochrome style being this high fidelity is the Virtual Boy, Apple 2 and select MS-DOS games.

I’m thinking 2 people part of the police department or some sort of business are asked to check the sewers for any criminal hideouts or drug trades, and instead end up finding the sewer creeps.
