you alright, bro? It's nothing to be ashamed of if your samples are low quality because you can't afford it. Don't be disencouraged by that, or my words, which were just meant as feedback, but just follow on with your passion of making music :/

I will, trust me, I will.

It’s just I hate the fact that I can’t get any recognition with these samples XD

I’m not discouraged by your words… at least not now, I just want to give my audience the best, too bad they’re stuck with me. Something about me is that I speak my mind, that’s why I made this, I just wanted to say sorry most of all. Thank you for the review, it will help :)

Hey man, I never said people follow you *just* for who you are— your music AND your art are both amazing, and you get so many reviews telling you so! Maybe at the moment you don’t have the resources to quite create what you were hoping to, but don’t let that stop you. Your dedication has been a real inspiration to me, and I don’t want you to drop it just because you haven’t found “high-quality” samples yet :(

Yeah, I want to give the best, but for now I’m stuck with what I’ve got lol.

Thanks for being so honest with your reviews btw, I appreciate it. Your music actually sounds professional in someways (other then the Breakcore shi) I’m talking the DNB and synthwave and other stuff. And I mean that 100%, 1000%

Samples don't affect the quality of music that much. Super Mario Brothers made one of the most iconic themes with only four sound channels (I believe). Making music is based on practice and what you do with it. Considering you're only a teenager 550 fans is exceptionally well since you're just starting out. Getting better comes over many years of making things. People also follow you because they like your compositions and rhythms or because they look up to you in some form like I do as well as you being one of the nicest people I've ever met. Getting frontpaged doesn't matter either. It's just more recognition for your work. Getting noticed should be an afterthought unless you're doing it as a job. Just continue what you love doing and people will notice you.

Yeah, another part is the fact I want to have more people to hear, a bigger audience. Maybe I may be a bit selfish, but still, I think you can understand what I’m saying. Thanks so much for all your support. I seriously appreiate It!

Buddy if you want better samples than STOP COMPLAINING AND MAKE YOUR OWN STUFF! SOUND DESIGN! OH MY GOD, IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO FIGURE OUT THAT NOTHING WORKS WITHOUT SOUND DESIGN! ALSO, FL STUDIO LITERALLY HAS GOOD ONE SHOTS, AND EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE FL STUDIO I CAN LITERALLY SEND YOU SOME!!! OH MY GOOOOOOD!
(this is a joke btw I'm really a friendly person)

Sorry for my little rant man, but seriously, sound design is awesome! Even if you can't get the expensive stuff like serum (I can't lol) then get Vital! It's great!

Hope you do good with your music. And by the way, I'm one of the weirdos who likes your music :D

I would… but I’m mobile

That's tough buddy
Save up for a pc

Forgive me for being blunt, but I've actually heard ridiculously garbage tracks on here before, so you're definitely being too hard on yourself by calling the music you've produced "shit." That's reserved for someone who doesn't put any amount of time or effort into making something that A.) they like, and B.) other people enjoy listening to.

As someone who used to scour the Internet for free samples and plugins, I know that the struggle is real. The Internet is a wealth of information, and that includes better soundscapes. That said, I've never had any fancy, overpriced orchestral suites, badass percussion kits, or anything that wasn't 100% gratis. And no, I never took first place in any of the major competitions here on Newgrounds, but I HAVE beaten people who DID have all those pricey bells and whistles.

So yeah, just like how free samples don't automatically wreck the vision, having all the best stuff won't magically make anyone the best of the best. It's not the samples—it's the musician. Don't give up. I'm not really sure what DAW you use, but there are good resources out there. Find them. Download all kinds of samples and plugins, check them out, and keep the good ones in your back pocket. You can find better replacements for what you've currently got if you put in the work. And make the music work for you! It's your tool, not the other way around. Don't try to force it too much. If you need a break, take one.

Don't be ruled by an obsession for views, likes, or even a spot on the front page. Those are merely fleeting moments in time; the best part of making music - or any artistic pursuit, really - is that it leaves a legacy. It's a way to be remembered, and to look back at where we started the journey.

You’re right man. I’m being too hard on myself

@Musicbyspektral WERE DOING ROUND 2

Hey dude, I can give a try and record some free samples of Project Sam: The Free Orchestra. But as other said, the effort is more important. Don't be sorry, we like your music nevertheless :)

Hey, don't overthink it, whether your samples are shit or not, you're just at the base of the pyramid that represents your career. It's normal that you feel you make shit content with your current resources (you're an artist, we all want to improve at some point), but people seem to like it, and support you because of that, and that support (as well as some personal decisions) are the tools you need to start moving upwards that pyramid, just be calm and search for ways to start improving, be it finding the right people, buying better devices for your projects, or even searching how to raise your savings so you can look for better opportunities

Well even tho you said youre not quitting i still hope you wont...cause this is your passion.

I agree with what ChronoNomad said as its not about quality of samples or plugins we use but rather our own approach to it, also its basically what i said in my review.

Im still learning to give proper feedback so maybe i could have worded things a bit better.

Aside from that you have chosen to do music and get better at it and music is the biggest and hardest grind ive ever seen...we spend hundreds of hours perfecting our craft and techniques just to realise that we still have thousands of hours before us.

I just want to say that you should not let negative feedback pull you down but rather lock in and get even better than you are now.

Not everyone will always like your music, there will be people who will be hateful or those who will be indifferent to it.

Also joining contests here on NG will always be a big reality check i think for all of us when we realise where we are lacking and i think with the right midset this simply can help you focus on the right things.

Best of luck and we will meet on second round :)

Hey I totally understand that! From personal experience myself, working with FL Studio Mobile too is so frustrating sometimes, so limiting, but don't let that stop you from making music! People love your stuff no matter what the quality, you got this! We're rooting for you :)

Well seems everyone else said pretty much what I was gonna say :p But i'll say it aswell, don't be discouraged by feedback that points out flaws in your productions, because those always simply signify something which can be improved upon ^^

But of course I understand that it can feel a bit overwhelming, especially if one gets a lot of it in a short time (and on the same piece of music)... Which also means that I can say with certainty that I would be even worse musician than I am now had I not received my fair share of comments on where to improve xD

You clearly have a passion for music, so just keep on producing :) Trial and error are the tried and true ways of improving, and as Chrono mentioned, the internet being a wealth of information includes tips and tricks for almost anything in existence, even FL mobile i'm certain ;)

PS. Indeed, hope to see you and spektral at the grid for the second round of NGMC ^^

i'm sorry you're feeling this way. i think you are being way too hard on yourself. sample quality is such a small part of the equation! sometimes the confines we are given to work with are a blessing. when you have less to work with, you have to be intentional and the sounds you use have to benefit the melody (it's like writing a haiku vs a novel). you can throw all the fancy sounds in the world together or rent out a million dollar studio and still have music that sounds like ass if your heart's not in it. be true to yourself and don't stress about the numbers [i know this is easier said than done] but take a deep breath. you have followers because you are an original voice, and with every song you make, that becomes more true. you are still just starting out; you have time and space to fall into your flow!

Your samples dont suck, at least i dont think so, your music is good and you are improving as a musician, if you just wanted to be on the frontpage you would copy what everybody else does, but I appreciate that you do what you really like and that originality in my book is worth more than being on the frontpage
