Congrats on the frontpage!

It’s a bit on the repetitive side, and the synth sounds a little dissonant at the beginning. I like the more calm synth at around 1:15, the bass around the same time sounds a bit loud, but overall not bad. The synths arp at around 1:49 sound a lot like a song known as Skyless, it’s really neat! It’s still a bit repetitive throughout the song, and has a drum beat that is really reminiscent of hip hop tracks. A bit of a sudden and not really well made transition to a HPF(High Pass Filter) version of the previous song, that seems to come back again.
Big fan of the new drums at 3:40, very dusty, but dusty in this case is good! The beat gets a little boring at around 4:20, try and add something new, like a different melody, different instrument, or possibly some radio transmission sfx! You kinda just made it go for longer then needed, that really it.

At 4:55 it gets interesting with the cutesy synth, really big fan of it! And it’s extended perfectly! I like how the song does go into bitcrush, but I’d recommend turning it down a little in the process!
Decent work, could use some variety, and leveling improvements, definitely a cool idea of a song tho! Keep it up, and congrats on the frontpage again!

Thanks for the review! I will admit, the song goes on for longer than intended, but like i said, it was an old flp that i just uploaded without fixing some things lol XD.

Not bad! But the drums are a bit on the compressed side, it also feels really empty at the beginning. At 1:01 we have that weird dissonant melody, it definitely sounds better with the reverb, but on its own it just sounds awkward and not that well in the song. The solo is probably the best part of the song, with the synth just needing some reverb and the drums seem to get better as the song goes out. Keep it up, keep experimenting! I can definitely hear the emotional side, though of course it can always be stronger :)

Thanks for the feedback!!

Just made some adjustments, let me know how it sounds now!

Really strange dubstep! But I seriously like it! The bitcrushed dubstep is amazing in this song despite the fact most would probably say that reggae should never have bitcrush no matter the circumstances. But you managed to tell those kinds of people to fuck off! Nice work!
Love this mixture with the synth orchestra hits and staccatos. The dubstep is very unique, not sounding like dubstep, but more like extremely gritty techno, but I can hear those cutoffs ;).
Really good job! Some melodies sound a little weird but overall this song slaps! Samples are also super well fitting as well! I especially love the bitcrushed Wubstep at the end! I hope I find your songs again! This was sick!

A bit crowded, but the atmosphere is pretty nice! Reminds me of oil reserves!

A seriously lovely track! I’m in love with how all the instruments are made, the length is long, but good, and the melodies are almost psychedelic! I feel like this is taking me on a journey through a universe where nothing makes sense, but yet finding sense to it. The keyboard is cutesy, and yet it fits in so well! I’m also in love with the strings, as an orchestral fan, I seriously can’t get over it, it just sounds so pristine.
Though of course there are mishaps, the drums seem to kick in a bit too loudly and suddenly at first in my opinion, and some parts of the song are kinda repetitive. But overall! This is some good stuff! I love the mysterious atmosphere, it just feels so peaceful! Nice work man!

Your words are exceedingly kind, and your criticism fair. Thank you

The nether!

The name fits completely well! Love the bass, and the synths are really good as well. Drum kicks might be a bit on the loud side, but mixing overall sounds pretty well made! I love how this basically accurate describes the internet, memes, lobby music, and THA NETHA

Thanks!!! :3

A few odd synths at the start, but usually not something that’s get it ranked below 4 stars… I guess along with it the drums don’t sound distorted either, a bit of distortion can definitely make it sound better, I think you were going moreso with hard hitting DNB rather then with adding distortion, it’s best to have a healthy combination of both. I also feel the song may be a bit on the dissonant side, mainly the synths. I would also try adding more in since some areas feel a little empty. Overall, could use a remaster, but just keep it up! I like the bass and many of the melody ideas!

Anther banger from the album!

Always love listening to your stuff when I find it, it’s always weird or absurd in some way. The repeated kick is a bit too loud, and honestly the song could go better without it. I still love the song though, reminds me of looking over a hut on an island in a lake next to a bursting city. Nice work!

Midnights-Ocean responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I don't get much satisfaction from making normal music, so I always lean towards the odd. I agree the kicks weren't mixed as well as I would have liked but the only thing I had to work with was a mix-down track, because this was actually part of a live set I did recorded to analog tape many years ago.
