Absolutely astounding work! Both you and jabun did great on this!
Absolutely astounding work! Both you and jabun did great on this!
Thank you man, proud of this one. :) The vocal track wasn't exactly good quality back when I recorded this either, Jabun's one heck of a producer too!
I feel you man… I feel you
Not too long ago my dog passed away… died most likely due to a heart attack from not being fixed, or so I’ve heard. Either way, I still feel sad for you, cause the first day this happened, I went to my dogs grave and dropped to my knees, wishing I could’ve been a better for her… I wish I could’ve had a better relationship, maybe spent more time with her. Enough of my yapping, sorry for your loss… we can both get through this, your cat must’ve loved you a ton, even if you were just like me, and was just only there in the background.
Have a nice day, great song btw.
I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I know that even if we couldn't give them everything, I'm sure they loved us and knew we loved them. It's very painful.
I'm glad you liked the song. I made it mostly for my cat and to vent.. thanks
Sax sounds a bit weird in this form. I’d recommend adding some low filter, as well as some reverb. Me and a friend have made something similar, and that’s the best way to make sax sound good in this kind of environment.

Drums sound pretty well, though the song is a bit empty overall, could use some sort of lofi effects, like trees flowing in the wind, a city street, a busy suburb, etc. Like the way the open hats sound, along with the pad, it sounds very mysterious, though the sax keeps throwing it off, it’s like one of those meme songs where it’s just an absurd rhythm, something you’d find on YouTube shorts/tiktok. It’s also a little bit repetitive, but it’s got a nice tune to it, the production is nice, I love the long pads, it just needs work on instrumentation, and repetitiveness.
O ver all ni cew ork du de, ke ep it up !
Btw, the transitions are very smooth, really nice work in that area, even though that’s usually a common messup.
thanks for the advise.
i will thing about this when i make something new.
Bass at the beginning is a lil bit weird, but the vocaloid sounds pretty good! The drums sound very familiar, they sound like they are from FL Studio mobile :). Also a big fan of the strings, through I feel the chiptune melody could be more towards the middle then to the far left of my ear. Transitions could be a bit improved a little, it sounds a bit like 2 different songs, trust me, that’s hard, I used to have the same problem as well, I might still do to a point XD. The drums in the second part seem a bit soft, but they are pretty well made nonetheless! Ending is made pretty nicely, some sweet piano, and honestly for the whole song, not bad! Good work!
Thanks, im still getting the hang of making vocaloid tbh, i think me switching the bpm was bold for the later parts, transitions probably are my weakness tbh, but yeah i agree with most of this, might make an update later lol
Yo, I noticed in your links a Bandlab link. Are you using the mobile version or the cakewalk version? If it’s cakewalk, then no problem, if it’s the mobile version, don’t put audio made from that on here, it’s not allowed on ng.
Just for your info in case you didn’t know XD.
Edit: the pc version I think is called cakewalk lol
oohhhhh ok, i use the PC version (idk what you mean by cakewalk).
We starting to make planets now!? XD
beautiful song as always! Great work, after Saturn! Make Mars! And maybe you could practice with some desert like instruments on that one!
oooo; i like where your head's at!
The chiptune sounds very dissonant in the track, and isn’t well tuned, and overall it just doesn’t sound right. The mixing could also be a bit more improved, maybe adding more compression to the bass. There’s also that weird gap in the later middle of the song, I feel it’s better to just put that gap as a transition, like a reverse cymbal! Something I do like is the drum melody, and overall the melody at the end, it sounds natural! The drums are pretty fitting for this song as well, it’s mainly the instruments and tuning that’s not too great.
What key is this song in? Cause it’s better to have a certain key if the song doesn’t have one, that’s a way to get rid of the dissonance, as well as using EQ and possibly just different instruments.
Btw, I found you through @Overscore, and tbh, I might be taking your side since he seems to have made the rude reply, and maybe he was just baiting, I’m not sure. Wealth doesn’t determine a musician (though it can help)
Keep up the good work on whatever you make! :D
(Why do I have a feeling there’s an inside joke that I’m not getting XD)
Thank you for your response though I dont quite agree with all your points.
The song is in a scale, the phrygian scale of b minor, and maybe its just your ears because I dont hear any dissonance.
BTW the "chiptune" that I think youre referring to is actually a GM clav. anyway.
I sort of agree that there could be a better transition to the end part, I ran out of ideas a bit.
It's cool that you like the end melody, when I made it it didnt feel much different than composing the rest of the song, just without the other instruments mostly, so maybe you're right that the bass needs to be improved. The lead and clav sound great in combination and thats sort of what I built this version of the song on.
Also there's no inside jokes, I think thats the worst kind of humor. A lot of the time my song titles are references to semi-obscure stuff, or just meant to be silly.
This song is LONGER then summer vacation ToT
theres 104 days of summer vacation
ferb the whole break is overbooked! we can't build a rocket!
Congrats on the frontpage!
It’s a bit on the repetitive side, and the synth sounds a little dissonant at the beginning. I like the more calm synth at around 1:15, the bass around the same time sounds a bit loud, but overall not bad. The synths arp at around 1:49 sound a lot like a song known as Skyless, it’s really neat! It’s still a bit repetitive throughout the song, and has a drum beat that is really reminiscent of hip hop tracks. A bit of a sudden and not really well made transition to a HPF(High Pass Filter) version of the previous song, that seems to come back again.
Big fan of the new drums at 3:40, very dusty, but dusty in this case is good! The beat gets a little boring at around 4:20, try and add something new, like a different melody, different instrument, or possibly some radio transmission sfx! You kinda just made it go for longer then needed, that really it.
At 4:55 it gets interesting with the cutesy synth, really big fan of it! And it’s extended perfectly! I like how the song does go into bitcrush, but I’d recommend turning it down a little in the process!
Decent work, could use some variety, and leveling improvements, definitely a cool idea of a song tho! Keep it up, and congrats on the frontpage again!
Thanks for the review! I will admit, the song goes on for longer than intended, but like i said, it was an old flp that i just uploaded without fixing some things lol XD.
Not bad! But the drums are a bit on the compressed side, it also feels really empty at the beginning. At 1:01 we have that weird dissonant melody, it definitely sounds better with the reverb, but on its own it just sounds awkward and not that well in the song. The solo is probably the best part of the song, with the synth just needing some reverb and the drums seem to get better as the song goes out. Keep it up, keep experimenting! I can definitely hear the emotional side, though of course it can always be stronger :)
Thanks for the feedback!!
Just made some adjustments, let me know how it sounds now!
