Pretty cool synths and the WOO sample is also really well done, I like how it delays, usually it’s just a transition or somewhat. It loops again at 1:04, I feel that part could’ve had another instrument added to it, maybe some breakbeat or strings.
Pretty good song, good work! Pretty damn catchy Melodies lol

And about sticking to a certain genre… dude, don’t! The more genres you know, the better! Maybe have a iconic genre, but NEVER stick to one, always experiment with new things! Hell combine them if you can!

88poly responds:

some good advice there,
glad you liked it!

A lot of the drums are a bit off, and just don’t sound well. Was this an experiment with drums?
Really neat bass lines and of course the different Sfx and samples. A lot of the drums are weird, and transitioning isn’t the best, it’s sorta like trying to do a fast song with a slow melody. I like the ending and how it fades in a phaser like way. Keep it up!
Pretty neat! :)

Bunchie responds:

I appreciate the feedback! I don’t aim for perfection..imperfection is still art. Some days I keep it simple, other days I go all out. I’m proud of the drums in this track, especially the drop. I like keeping my beats offbeat and unique, it’s part of the style. Maybe this track isn’t for you, and that’s okay, but I’m glad you enjoyed it otherwise!

Congrats on another frontpage

Not bad! A few too high pitched synthbells but overall really good! Im in love with the name! What’s it mean?

tahnk you!
meridian- a circle passing through the celestial poles and the zenith of a given place on the earth's surface.
(but i mainly used it in connotation with springtime, or the noonday sun)

Still better than my dumb ah samples.

So…
it seems we have crossed ways, aye I’ve been cooking a pirate themed tune myself, but it’s by far less ambitious sounding then this sonata. You and your crew will definitely be sailing the seas, and ward all danger with this wondrous tune from the depths of your ship.

Enough pirate talk, this is actually really well done. In love with the samples, atmosphere, and honestly I can’t even figure out what I could critique, all I can think is it may be a bit dissonant, and lack of sound in some areas, some ocean samples can really increase the mood in a song like this, maybe some cannons blasting away at 3:43.

Otherwise, really amazing! A+

7 hours for this much… wow, last I tried doing that it took me 10+! I’m a big fan of orchestral mixes, so this is super good for someone with a desire for violence. I’m also impressed on how you got an ever increasing speed to work, it’s kinda hard to do that since it usually ends up sounding awkward IMO. Really nice touch with the piano as well. Melodies sound pristine and uplifting, honestly I guess the only thing I’d critique is the fact it sounds a bit simple at points, but it sounds glorious, like a pheonix rising from the ground, to the wonderous heavens above.

What’s with the name? Just curious.

ChordsBoy responds:

Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback :)

As for the name, it's nothing significant really, I just kinda view the gradual adding of instruments over time to be like "bricks" in this case. I always put about 5 minutes of effort into the names lol

Yay! No (insert amen break) just some good ol traditional DNB!

Love the repeated beats and the probably bass as well, you make the synth go so well.
I’m also a fan of how out in front the drums are, they sound so good! Whenever I try to do that I always end up filtering them since it sounds like they suck XD.

GOOD WORK!

Oooooooooh! I participated in the art section! Can’t wait to see the final result!

Nice song as well! Great work!
