Interesting takes on this remix, a lot of strange synths and leads. The bass drum is also fits well, though the snare could be turned down a little. The final part is a bit on the empty side, and the transitions don’t sound familiar to the original blast processing. But overall production is great!

X-500 responds:

I tryed to make so, bass not conflict with drums at final part, but another problem with a little silent bass volume, but overall dude I can't say that everything was so bad with her unless you really pick on her. I understand, lol

Pretty interesting, it’s almost like a soundfont with other geometry dash instruments. I love the drums! They actually sound really nice! The sudden transitions are a bit on the jarring side, but this song is pretty well, but I would add something else in the bass area, like a pad.

X-500 responds:

yeah these are some of my cut ideas along with a recreation of the mecha effects from the original i just couldnt find anything like that damn

What if… what if g2961 has a glitch… a glitch where all his music gets frontpaged, but the actually frontpaged musics are the ones that don’t get frontpaged :0

Response: BRO SUCKS AT MUSIC XD /j

NEON-SKIES responds:

I'm sorry, I missed your question.

Back in 2012 it was moreso nostalgic? Interesting! Thanks for your answer!

Aalasteir responds:

Thank you for your question! Creeperforce!

Very uniquely structured track, it sounds very experimental! The synths chops at the beginning give JRPG horror or indie game horror vibes. The atmosphere is definitely there, the bassy sounds are put into a sort of organized chaos, which is jarring, though I feel that was a plan there. The melody goes from horror game to some weird dark hardcore at 1:23, which I feel greatly contrasts the last vibe, it’s sorta like putting a hardcore track in a horror indie game.

The last bit was… something O_o.

Ok but for real, in terms of uniqueness, I think you got that covered XD. Production isn’t that great, but atmosphere sounds pretty tense, damn, you did a good job. Just needs better composition and structure, and maybe better samples.

Yo thanks

Beautiful work once again trev! Reminds me of Wall E, loved that movie when I was younger!

trevor8 responds:

haha; it's been ages since i saw wall-e!
thank you so much, my friend!

Really cool stuff! I’m in absolute love with the violin and strings. The guitar also fits really well with the track, I suppose the drums could be more on beat and more intense, it sounds low quality actually. The vocals sound really good as well! Desperation is truly visible there! Nice work!

Thomxs responds:

Thanks a lot for the feedback and i'm glad you enjoyed the track!
For the drums, I'm saving up for a good drum plugin (VST) so my tracks will sound even better, it's still in the works :p (as of right now i'm using a stock plug-in from my music software) but i'm glad it didn't completely ruin the listening experience and i'll try my best to make them sound better!

There is a lot to be improved on this song. The vocals are really well made, but there are a lot of dissonance in your track, a lot of clashing instruments, and overall the whole song seems to be thrown together in some weird mashup, 1:08 for example would have worked if the drums also became faster. There is also way too much distortion and compression in the drums, and the song itself isn’t really color bass, moreso it’s just colorful notes played in a rhythm. There drums and melodies go off beats quite a few times in a not so good way, like it’s slight to the left. The mixing is also needing improvement, some instruments in the more bass kick parts are barely able to be heard over the kicks, you need hard kicks, not distorted and compressed to the max kicks. The final melody is also really off and just doesn’t sound good in general. There is also that looooooong pause at the end, it goes for 30 something seconds!

One of the best parts of the song is the choice in pads and some of the synths, they are very chilling and fit well! You also don’t have any real repetitiveness in the track, and transitioning is decent! You’ve got some ideas, but you need to learn how to make better melodies and tonal identification, and just not amp the shit out of the kicks.
Stay at it! Just gotta learn more.
