I’m a really big fan of the transitions and sample use in the beginning, it fits so well!
Bass sounds sick in this one! I love the use of the the long dubstep growl. The the crushy “yi” also sounds pretty good, I feel it could be more varied in tones, but it still sounds cool nonetheless less! Mixing is great and the overall melody is still visible through the bassy madness. The synth at 1:46 is probably one of my favorite parts of the song as I’m typing this, but then it starts speeding up, which I found a little odd for my tastes, that could be improved maybe by faster drums or a fast bass. But then it leads into a actually really sick fucking drop, love the long term bass used in this and how crunchy it is! The “LETS GO” robot sample at 2:38 is a bit hidden, I’d recommend maybe adding some velocity to it. Then just like with the synth, the odd speed change, but it gets better and more into the pads. The pads are superb, though the piano sounds a bit too compressed and hard hitting, it’s also off melody with the bassy growls at 3:05. I love the bass still, it hasn’t gotten old, I also have to admit I love how nothing seems to sound the same!
Then it gets more of a “house vibe”, I would’ve kept the bass, but made it quieter and give it some ducking or sidechaining, rather then get rid of it altogether. It gets pumping back with the bass impacts, the layers in both the first and this part are a bit to high pitched, but they fit otherwise. A lovely riser into the next house like drop. Now it’s truly getting good, I love the house and dubstep mix, and the piano here sounds really well, a major improvement from the last one, where hard hitting piano synth is NEEDED. The piano melody to end it all is incredibly fire and I wish itd go on a bit longer.
In terms of transitions, using speed wasn’t exactly ideal here, guessing it was an experiment? Mixing and mastering overall is strong, some parts feel hidden, and the samples used are really good! Toning is a bit of a problem for the extra effects in the dubstep, such as the lasers. Melodies are really good in the electronic instruments, but kinda off on the more traditional instruments, the piano for example, although it really fit in the second entrance of it.
Overall, I give it a solid 4.7/5. amazing work man!
