Really fitting vocals and a very emotional song, especially at the oooo parts. I guess the only thing about the song is that it could use more variety.

For a first song both wrote, produced, and sang by you, this is seriously impressive, it sounds very good, everything is well and clear, even a minimal at times, which in this case is something good! Amazing work my friend, keep it up!

Very good feedback! Thank you for the kind words!

Doesn’t really sound like drum n bass, more like a good video game track! But it’s not the genre, it’s whether it’s sick, and lemme tell you… it’s pretty sick!

The only problems I see are the snare transitions… they just don’t sound right, and that’s all that it is, next is the video game vocals, you’d probably need to make them more distorted to suit the vibe of the song, plus just like the snares, it just doesn’t sound right, especially “Game, not over”, although this is a motivating line, it also disrupts the flow, I’d recommend saying “It’s not over yet” instead as a sample, this way it flows much more smoothly.

But on the other hand, the melodies are very classic, yet they also sound familiar! In fact, this entire song reminds me of MDK’s style, without the “Wubstep” as he calls it. You put this in front of me and not tell me who it is, I would’ve probably said MDK. I like how clear all the instruments are and can be heard, from the bass to the pad. The cute chiptune melody arpeggios at the start and end really fit in with making both an outro and intro.

Conclusion, really good piece, it’s just some parts could be improved, as all songs could be! Amazing work, and remember “it’s not over yet” ;)

Edit: the sample parts, it’s not your fault, although it still doesn’t fit, it still just doesn’t flow right, just pointing out a mistake I made, since you didn’t make the samples yourself. Forgive me for my tom foolery. And thank you @nimblegend for the comment, I would have never found out about the mistake I made lol.

Thank you for this detailed and elaborative feedback, thats what we(artists) need, rarely people LISTEN to a song nowadays and have time or will to experience it or try to understand what the artist did or wanted to do. Music is unique way to transfer emotion from artist to listener and having someone on other end makes me really really happy. Thank you, cheers!

I’m greem too! :3

No way.... I thought i was the only one......

Openmpt… hmmm, never heard of it! Sounds cool!

I like the orchestra hits, and arp in the background is really sick to listen to! And the whole song just flows together well! This is definitely more into the video game genre then synthwave, but this sounds amazing either wise.

The acid basses sound awesome, and the lead is familiar, but I dunno from where! Good work bro! Keep it up!

Cheeming-Bepis responds:

Tysm! :]
It’s a very old program that a lot of 2000’s games used.

Very cool ideas! It’s pretty cool, though it’s really only gone to three places for me, so don’t worry about it being all over.

The transitions between the “places” are non existent, and could use a cymbal, or a riser, or something to make it flow better. The melody is really nice, and it reminds me sorta of indie music! Bass is great here, though it’s effective at best at the beginning. And a thing you should try making is an extension of the ending, it’s my favorite part! Though in this context, you’re right, it doesn’t fit, but it should definitely be made into a full song!

Pretty fire ngl! You seem like a very interesting music artist! Keep it up! :D

hoopygluemusic responds:

thanks! i'm always trying to get better at this so feedback really helps :)

Bass could be turned down a bit, or really just changed into a more acidly bass, the transistor bass is also something I’m practicing with myself :D, it’s a really neat tool ngl! I would also try working on the transitions between speeds. But it’s a pretty neat rhythm and melody!

Keep up the good work!

Kingbastard responds:

Thanks man. Just having a jam. You’re probably right about the bass.

Interesting song! The mutes in the beginning were kinda unnecessary, and could’ve been replaced with the electronic guitar rhythm in the background. Also the whole song seems a bit off course with the cymbals and the snare. It’s really just a practice of timing and skill, and using what instruments to use. Try to keep the rhythm steady with the snare and cymbal, this is why a drum loop is good for songs like this, it’s easier to keep in rhythm. Keep practicing dude! Rock on!

GuitARBEn responds:

I will keep practicing, that's for sure. Thanks for the comment!

Could use a little more reverb, but you definitely got the medieval theme down! Good work on this one!

bboybeat responds:

I'll keep it in mind, thank you for commenting

Not bad! Also, HOW MANY DAMN SONGS DID YOU POST HOLY SHIT THE ENTIRE LATEST SECTION IS FILLED WITH SONGS BY YOU! XD

Sounds like your standard anime house track, it’s pretty well mixed. Solid work!

Chiru-san responds:

Thank you! I released all this stuff a while ago and finally put it up here ahaha :>>

Beautifully made, but it’s more of an ice world then a eldritch abomination! I love the way it sounds, I just say turn down the distortion a bit. Awesome work!

CaptainBoomcake responds:

to be honest it might be me projecting because my favorite lovecraft work is the icey stuff. the mountains of madness and such.
